Despite its warm and inviting appeal clean lines and modern silhouettes ensure that the exterior of the cabin presents a private and distinctly contemporary appeal. All the drainage and electrical pipes have been carefully concealed while a wall of glass opens up the interior to the lake and the scenery outside. A small kitchen dining and living area occupy the lower level with a mezzanine floor bedroom.
At the far end lies the third volume of the house that contains the patio along with a double height glass dome that aids in air circulation. Large indoor plants a pebble garden and spacious gathering zones complete the lower level with the second floor containing the bedrooms and other private spaces. A perfect interaction of indoor and outdoor design elements draped in a glassy sheen!
It is the parlor level that contains the ten-foot-high living area with a custom bookshelf that which is cleverly extended to fashion a circulation space for the two cats in the house.
With one of the client being a drummer the architects decided to incorporate the design of the drum kit in a symbolic fashion with thee large circular windows that grace the front and the rear façade of the home.
