The best part about the cabin is undoubtedly the way in which it stealthily stilts and leaves a minimal eco footprint even as it offers a mesmerizing window into nature’s ever-lasting beauty. Owners of the cabin wish to ultimately turn it into a cabin that floats on water but even in its current version this woodsy retreat seems just fine to us!
It is a curated mix of midcentury modern décor sheepskin tugs and other plush textiles that the interior decorator chose to complement the warm wooden wall and large windows of the ski retreat.
The living area is like an open pavilion with the rear deck pool area and the view beyond becoming a part of the experience at the lake house. The double height living area is draped in a neutral color palette and natural stone finishes ensure that the focus remains firmly on the scenery outdoors.
Spatially the three different structures of the house contain three specialized areas with the edifice in the foreground housing the living area kitchen and other public spaces. One of the two rear structures hosts the master bedroom suite with the other containing the kids’ bedroom. An undulating roofscape puts the final touches on a truly mesmerizing lakeside home.
