Attempting to correct this anomaly and bringing a pocket of vibrant green to the sprawling cityscape of Vietnam is the gorgeous designed by VTN Architects. Part of a creative initiative dubbed ‘House for Trees’ by the eco-friendly folk at VTN this exquisite green house has been crafted using terrazzo glass and concrete.
Spatially the three different structures of the house contain three specialized areas with the edifice in the foreground housing the living area kitchen and other public spaces. One of the two rear structures hosts the master bedroom suite with the other containing the kids’ bedroom. An undulating roofscape puts the final touches on a truly mesmerizing lakeside home.
The transformation is anything but mundane with the new floor plan including a dining room within the confines of the kitchen crafted out of wood and glass partitions.
Apart from the lovely views that it offers the mezzanine level of the house is a space-saver with a comfortable master suite on one end and a spacious home office on the other. With the series of sliding glass doors windows and glazed walls welcoming in ample natural light there is never a dull corner here!
Designed by Desai Chia Architecture in collaborating with this dramatic contemporary residence instantly grabs your attention with the 20-foot-long cantilevered upper level and a charred wood exterior that dubbed ‘shou sugi ban’. The dark exterior lets the home standout visually even while ensuring that it melts away into darkness after sunset.
Who wouldn’t love spending a few lovely weekends each summer as they relax in their lake house! And at the heart of every great lake house is the splendid view outside which often ends up being the showstopper of the setting.
